Susan Rae: It's wrong to link football results to domestic abuse - abusers will abuse whether England win or lose
Susan Rae (@sjsusa), Common Weal activist and Domestic Abuse professional, argues that an infographic shared on social media linking rising domestic abuse to England losing football matches sends out the wrong message – abusers will abuse regardless of football results
DOMESTIC ABUSE will not rise by 38 per cent in England tonight if their football team loses. It will not rise by 38 per cent in Scotland if England win. The result, I will wager, will not influence the amount of domestic abuse that exists in Croatia.
